I’m Rex, a full-time commercial photographer by day, but when I’m not busy capturing the wild and crazy stuff, I like to have a little fun on the side with portrait sessions. It’s kind of like being Batman, except with photography (and a nonexistent budget for crime-fighting gadgets)—serious business during the day, but by night (or weekend), I’m all about helping people shine in their own little spotlight. It’s a blast, really—keeps me on my toes and reminds me why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me either in the gym or out in the wild—channeling my inner Indiana Jones! Whether I’m canyoneering through narrow slot canyons, hiking rugged trails, boating on crystal-clear waters, or camping under a sky full of stars, I’m all about embracing the thrill of the great outdoors. There’s nothing like ditching the daily grind for a bit of adventure—exploring, pushing limits, and soaking in nature’s beauty. It’s how I recharge, find inspiration, and keep life exciting!

I am a fairly recent cancer survivor, having wrapped up my treatment in early 2020. Though cancer treatment is tough, I chose to dress up in costumes for each chemo session, turning a difficult experience into something fun. This not only helped me stay positive but also spread joy to my caregivers and fellow patients. I believe that even in the hardest times, focusing on positivity can make a challenging situation easier and create some smiles along the way.
